crankupthebass asked: okay well my neck of the woods is woodbury, but some of the surrounding towns have some good food too =]
my personal favorite place is Dottie's Diner in woodbury- i mostly go there for breakfast, but it also serves lunch, and more recently, dinner there. the donuts are not bad either. when my google mail starts working properly, i will properly send you a list of places i think are great, if thats okay by you =]

I’ve been to Dottie’s Diner when I went camping at Kettletown State Park which was lovely.  I’ll post some pics as well.  And yes, please do send us a list of places.  THANKS!

Swimming Holes in Pennsylvania
An amazing find.  I’m in the midst of planning a weekend getaway with friends from Maryland.  Pennsylvania is a perfect midpoint and this website - SwimmingHoles.org - is a great way to begin the search.  Who doesn’t want access to some fresh water in the summer?
(via website - ON STATE MAP : BLUE = swimming hole, GREEN = road trip dip (click here for info) , RED = hot spring.  The map location is very approximate. Use our directions with a highway map)

CT Folk’s Tour des Farms is a day-long, 25-mile leisure bicycle ride on Sunday, August 1 to local farms, greenhouses, orchards, and historic sites in the greater New Haven area. The route winds through lightly travelled scenic country roads, rolling hills, pleasant residential streets and a few miles on a paved linear park through Hamden, North Haven, and Cheshire. At each stop along the road, riders will be entertained by a Connecticut-grown musician.
