Flea, vintage, emerging designer markets and more.
Congrats New Designers Market! And, check out this previous belocal post for more designers at this market that Time Out doesn’t tell you about, but should have.

Rice’s Market in New Hope, PA

This is insane - a 30 acre outdoor flea/farmers/artisan market that is a mash up of Canal Street, Chelsea Flea Garages and the most local town’s greenmarket.  Just about a 90 minute drive from NYC, Rice’s Market is family run and been around since 1860.   Open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 7 am - 1 pm.

Make a weekend out of it and explore more of the beauty of Bucks county and the neighboring Hunterdon County in Jersey.

SUNDAY FUNDAY
Stop by MARTE (Manhattan Artisan and Trade Emporium) hosted this weekend by PS 63 on 3rd Street between Avenue A and 1st street.  This is a new series of destination markets organized to support public schools.  Give your support or check it out to become a vendor - booths start at $40.00.
Get further inspired by heading over the Williamsburg bridge and into Brooklyn for Renegade Craft Fair.  Totally worth the trip.  The vendors are fantastic.  A nice surprise for a craft fair fiend like me who thinks she’s seen it all.
Or, just forgo it all with a trip to City Field.  Scalp a ticket, get a shake shack shake and pray for shade.  That’s what I’ll be doing anyway.
Happy sunday, ya’ll.

Orange County Antique Fair and Flea Market in Middletown, NY
About an hour and a half from NYC, this fair has 100’s of vendors and if nothing else is a great stop-off on your way Upstate (NY upstate).  Free admission, free parking - sounds like you can’t really lose.  But I haven’t been yet so don’t hold me to that.
Whether you’re coming from Jersey, PA or NY, get directions here.  Open April through November - check out calendar here.

If you’re coming from NYC, take the Path train to Hoboken stop and then it’s about a ten minute walk to the park.  The yard sales will take place all over the surrounding streets.  There appear to be about 80 participating locations.  Click here for a list of them and their goods.
