Pics above from Basically 7th Street Mini Food Crawl

The night was full of lovely surprises.  On a whim we grabbed our lobster roll to go eat in Tompkins Square Park and stopped into Porchetta on the way for a sandwich and pork potatoes.  Walked right into a showing of Xoregos Performing Company’s MEDEA around the big tree in the center of the park.  We ate and listened and watched until the production ended and the space turned into a makeshift soccer field for a group of neighbors ranging in age from 3 to 35.  It all couldn’t have been more entertaining.  Wow, that park has turned around.
