ZogSports is awesome.  The idea is to get a team together or join an existing one as an individual to make new friends and raise money and awareness for the charity of your choice.  Another way to change up your day between work and home and meet new like-minded people.  Go for it.  

Perhaps we should get a tumblr team going - or is there one?

Meetup is a website that allows you to search by interest and find meetup groups around New York that you can join in on.  Everything from sports to board games to conversational groups, etc.
